Day 334: Danube cycle tour Day 17: Tata to Györ - 85 km

The highlight of today's ride was definitely not the weather (lots of rain), nor was it the annoying hungarian-english man who we met outside a beautiful park in Tata and gave us his spiel about how great he was in countryside running and that he could run more km in one day than we could cycle!

Nooooo the highlight for today was this village close to Györ that had a serious amount of crazy barking dogs. One mean looking vicious dog that looked bigger than a female lion got so excited he nearly jumped over the fence to chase us. Too our relieve he failed...but then Stephie's puncture that we had supposedly fixed two days before started leaking soooo we had no choice but to fix the puncture among the dogs.

Eventually we made it to Györ one of the main historical towns in NW Hungary and went straight for the warm shower, drink, good food, football option and then some well deserved sleep....we had no dog nightmares.

Stats for today:
Cycled 84.7 km.
Time: 5 hrs 6 min.
Max speed: 43.5 km/h.
Avg speed: 16.6  km/h.
