Day 279-301: Amazing Iranian hospitality

Iran has it all....incredible and varied scenery, wonderful ancient cities, stunning architecture, beautiful tea houses, amazing picnic spots..... But for us our best momories of Iran come from its people....sooo friendly, generous and inviting. In 3 1/2 weeks we have experienced the following without asking for anything: 30 or more random invitations for tea; lunch with a taxi driver in his home; two days spent with a lovely family from Esfahan who gave us non-stop food and drink; mountain walking and picnic time with a family in Yazd; free meals in restaurants....the list can go on and on....I wish we were this generous with our tourists back home!  I have a feeling we will be back in Iran sooner rather than later! Mamnum and khoda hafez! PS. rai with no beard (see photo) was a serious misunderstanding with a hairdresser in Esfahan!
