Day 288: More than just stunning mosques in Esfahan, Iran

Esfahan is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the Islamic world. It has stunning mosques and mosaics; manicured gardens, palaces and numerous old bridges that cross the Zayandeh River. But it is also a great place to take it easy and drink tea with the carpet sellers in the bazaar; have a picnic with a local family in the park or check out the Armenian churches and drink good coffee as we did ! If you want to be invited to someone's house in Esfahan all you have to do is sit by the fountain in Imam Square and within five minutes we can assure you that you will receive an invitation...it's that easy! Amazing Iranian hospitality! Memorable.
